Audiology / Speech Therapy
Speech-Language Pathology is dedicated to the treatment of communication and swallowing disorders from infants to adults.
Sanford Medical Center Worthington Speech Therapist works with children who have delayed development in speech sounds and/or language concepts. Adults receive speech services following conditions such as a stroke when the patient’s speech becomes slurred or absent. They may also require care for difficulties relating to word-finding, judgment, problem solving and memory. Speech pathologists also work with those who have difficulties swallowing. The goal is to help people communicate as well as possible and to maintain good swallowing abilities.
