Swing Bed
Swing Beds are utilized for patients who require skilled care after a minimum of three acute hospital days. Patients can be admitted to a Swing Bed from within SRHW or from other tertiary and acute care facilities. Although physical, occupational, and speech therapy are the main focus for these patients, other services are also provided. These services include:- Intravenous therapy
- Tube feedings
- IV infusions/fluids
- Education/ monitoring of new medications
- Ostomy and catheter care
- Wound/decubiti care
- Hyperalimentation
- Bladder training
- Clinical monitoring of certain conditions
